South Grenville Rangers clinch Western Division!

After a slow start to the home tilt vs. West Carleton Inferno, South Grenville strung together 3 quick goals in the second period, and one final goal to finalize the 4-0 win.

The night’s scorers were Tristan Loomis, Jack Finnerty, Carson Pickup, and Cam Dillon. Assists went to Clement, Finnerty, Hotte, Loomis, Martin, and Poulin. The game was filled with excitement, from big hits to solid saves from both goaltenders, with Sam Limoges-Ring playing a great game and making multiple breakaway saves for the shutout.

South Grenville assistant captain Brody Ranger spoke after the game. "I know everyone was fired up with clinching first place, but going into playoffs we need to stick to the basics and run our systems properly. We feel as a team we’ve been starting games flat, so we need to up our intensity. These are all things we need to focus on with the best time of the year two games away!"

The win clinches SGR’s 1st place position in the West with 2 games left to play in the regular season. South Grenville will finish the season with a game today at Bernard-Grande Maitre, set for a 2:00pm puck drop, and Monday at home.

Congratulations to the players staff, and fans on a fantastic regular season, make sure to come out and support SGR as they finish the season and begin their playoff run! - Liam Manderville
